PHILIPPINE FISHERIES DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY
The Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA) is a government-owned and controlled corporation created to monitor and promote the development of fishing industry in the Philippines by the virtue of Presidential Decree No. 977 as amended by Executive Order No. 772 under the supervision of the Department of Agriculture.
In more than three decades of the fisheries sector, the Authority has made headways in attaining its objectives and fulfilling its mandate. Through three core programs, namely the Regional Fish Ports Program, the Municipal Fish Ports Program and the Ice Plants and Cold Storages Program, PFDA continuously responds to the needs of the sector for post-harvest facilities and services.
DAVAO FISH PORT COMPLEX
The Davao Fish Port Complex is the second major fish port established in Mindanao Area. It has also become a major transshipment point and center of trade within the East ASEAN Growth Area (EAGA). It is located 125°35″ East Longitude and 7°10″ North Latitude.
